Frequently Asked Questions
Drink Bottles
CAN I HAVE A SPECIAL COLOUR? Yes. You can order a custom colour for your bottles and lids. Note that this will take longer than a normal order due to approval of your custom colour chip and booking production time at this point. The minimum quantities are as follows: Bottles: 3,600 Clip on lids: 10,000 Screw on lids: 5,400 Costs: Contact us for pricing as this will vary depending on type of colour.
DO WE SUPPLY PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLES? Yes. But only with our premium drink bottles. Pre-production samples can be supplied prior to your full order. This requires payment of $50.00 per colour printed and your artwork set up costs. The set up costs will not be charged again at the time of production but if changes are made after seeing the samples you will incur new artwork costs, however, pre production samples are included in the printing set up costs.
CAN I PRINT ONTO COLOURED BOTTLES? Yes. You can, but we cannot match PMS colours unless we print a white underlay. A white underlay gives colours a solid background to be able to retain the exact colour. If we do not use a white underlay the colour changes, e.g. blue onto red may change to purple, blue onto yellow may change to green. We need to assess your art to see if an underlay is suitable for your print.
DO THE PRICES INCLUDE FREIGHT? No. Prices quoted do not include the cost of freight. We will use the most cost effective carrier at the time or you can nominate your preferred carrier and we will organise the pickup for you when your order is ready to dispatch.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO PRODUCE? Depending on the time of year most new orders will take 2 weeks from art approval. Repeat orders approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks. Delays can occur if your information is incomplete. The more information you can supply from the outset, the quicker your order will be produced. Please allow an extra week for printing
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM QUANTITY I CAN ORDER FOR PRINTING? For our premium bottles the minimum order is 50 bottles. For our standard and sports bottles the minimum is 100 bottles. For our budget bottles the minimum is 250 bottles.
CAN I MIX THE BOTTLE SIZES? Maybe. This depends on your quantity & size. Ask your sales consultant.
CAN I MIX THE BOTTLE COLOURS? Yes. Just make sure your print colour will allow this.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PREMIUM AND BUDGET BOTTLE? Our premium bottles are produced from food grade low-density polyethylene plastic. The low-density plastic keeps the premium bottle flexible for years. The budget bottles are produced from a high-density polyethylene plastic. The plastic is not as soft or flexible as the premium bottle. Premium bottles are also made with the Clearview strip.
CAN I PRINT ON THE TOP OF THE BOTTLE? Yes. You can print one colour on the top section of the Marilyn, Oxygen, Original and Marathon bottles at no extra cost. If you need to print more than one colour please discuss it with your sales representative. There are some limitations to what can be printed on this section.
WHAT IS LDPE? Our sport, standard and premium bottle range is made from LDPE; Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic made from oil. LDPE is defined by a density range of 0.910 - 0.940 g/cm³. It does not react at room temperatures, except by strong oxidizing agents, and some solvents cause its swelling. It can withstand temperatures of 80 °C continuously and 95 °C for a short time. Made in translucent or opaque variations, it is quite flexible, and tough to the degree of being almost unbreakable.
WHAT IS HDPE? Our budget bottle range is HDPE; High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than lower density polyethylene. It is also harder and more opaque and can withstand somewhat higher temperatures (110° Celsius continuously, 120° Celsius for short periods).
ARE YOUR DRINK BOTTLES BPA FREE? Our range ‘sport', ‘standard', premium' and ‘aluminium' bottles do not contain BPA. BPA, or Bisphenol A is only found commonly in PET and Polycarbonate bottles. Our promotional range of plastic drink bottles are all made from LDPE for the ‘sport', ‘standard' and ‘premium' range and HDPE for ‘budget' range.
WHAT IS THE CLEAR VIEW STRIPTM Introducing the ‘Clear View StripTM' which is featured on our full colour range of premium quality drink bottles. The feature enables you to see the contents or level of fluid in the bottle. Measuring additives will be a breeze.
WHAT IS A WHITE UNDERLAY? This is a layer of white ink under your design on a clear or coloured bottle. This allows us to print and match PMS colours without the colours changing. There are limitations on some designs as to whether we can put an underlay under them. Text and crests are a good example of this. If you require an underlay on something like this then depending on the design we may be able to print a solid block and print over the top. Ask our sales representatives when this situation arises, for further details.
Stubby Holders
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO PRODUCE? Depending on the time of year, our standard lead time for screen printed stubby holders is 2 weeks from art approval plus delivery time. This applies to jobs of 2,000 or less. We can cater for rush orders, sometimes as quick as 4 to 5 working days. However, a 20% surcharge applies on all stubby holder orders with deadlines less than our standard lead time.
CAN I MIX THE FABRIC COLOURS? Yes. Just make sure your print colour will allow this.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCREEN PRINTING AND FULL COLOUR? Screen printing uses solid colours and Plastisol inks. It essentially guarantees colour correctness for clients that are specific about their corporate colours. Full colour printing (Dye Sublimation) looks great and creates a fantastic impact with vibrant full colour images and message! But..... Variations in colour WILL occur due to the nature of this printing process and the fabric being printed upon. We have no control over this.
WHAT TYPE OF MATERIALS ARE USED? We utilize only the best quality neoprene rubber components. Our standard stubby holder is made with 5mm neoprene, a non-slip base and heat sealed tape - using high quality glues. The Standard flat pak is constructed with 3mm neoprene and the budget flat pak is made with 2.5mm neoprene. The Slap, Wrap & Go is made from fabric covered foam and has a unique internal construction.
DO WE SUPPLY PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLES? Yes. But only with the full colour stubby holders to approve colour correctness. If required, on confirmation of signed order, we can have a full colour proof panel Air-bagged to you within 1 - 3 days (most areas) of receiving your artwork approval.
DO THE PRICES INCLUDE FREIGHT? No. Prices quoted do not include the cost of freight. We will use the most cost effective carrier at the time or you can nominate your preferred carrier and we will organise the pickup for you when your order is ready to dispatch.
Promotional Pens
WHAT TYPE OF PRINTING DO YOU USE? We use the latest technology pad printing machines to ensure quality printing, fine detail and efficient turnaround times.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO PRODUCE? Depending on the time of year, our standard lead time for printed promotional pens is 2 weeks from art approval plus delivery time. This applies to jobs of 10,000 or less. We can cater for rush orders, sometimes as quick as 4 to 5 working days. However, a 10% surcharge applies on all printed pen orders with deadlines less than our standard lead time.
WILL THE PENS BE THE SAME COLOUR AS SHOWN ON YOUR WEBSITE? Generally, Yes. But it depends on the accuracy of colours displayed on your monitor. Some product colours may vary from shipment to shipment. If colour is critical please request a sample at time of order.
CAN I MIX THE PEN COLOURS? Yes. Just make sure your print colour will allow this.
CAN I ORDER BLUE REFILLS INSTEAD OF BLACK? No. All of our pens are manufactured with black ink refills only. From past experience, we do not receive enough enquires for blue ink pens and hold stock. Furthermore, most documents require black ink as blue causes problems when copying or faxing such.
DO THE PRICES INCLUDE FREIGHT? No. Prices quoted do not include the cost of freight. We will use the most cost effective carrier at the time or you can nominate your preferred carrier and we will organise the pickup for you when your order is ready to dispatch.
